SMILE is a student and parent run program that shows TPES kids how they can make a positive impact on their local and global communities by giving back.  It teaches kids the rewards of giving and working together.  Over the school year, SMILE will be sponsoring a variety of fun and meaningful activities. All TPES children and families are encouraged to participate. If you or your child would like to help organize an activity, or if you just have a great idea, please contact Neha Bahadur We are so grateful for your kindness and generosity!

Holiday Food Drive

TPES has a wonderful tradition of hosting an annual food drive. Last year, we worked together we collected 1600 pounds of food for the San Diego Food Bank. Let's do even better this year!

Please support The Angel's Depot in their mission to serve seniors living in poverty in
San Diego County.

Before Thanksgiving Break, each child will be given a brown paper bag with a note attached explaining the specific foods that are needed.  We realize that it is more work to buy such specific food items, but hopefully it will be an opportunity for discussion with your kids about nutrition, poverty, and caring for our seniors. Fill up your bags over the break at turn them in to the office by Tuesday, December 4.

San Diego Humane Society Outreach

The San Diego Humane Society is partnering with our wonderful science teacher, Ms. Isom, to give a few science lessons to our students. Topics include ecosystems, life cycles, and adaptations. There will be a special project and an animal encounter. For those who wish to show thanks, please give Ms. Isom a donation for the Humane Society.

THANK YOU!
Thanks to all our TPES families for supporting the SMILE program last year. You helped make a positive impact on our local and global communities by giving back. Let's see what we can do together this year!
