Our School Garden

Do you have garden supplies or time to donate?
Please contact Ms Isom to get involved.

 Outdoor Classroom and Garden
A group of enthusiastic TPES parents and community volunteers  are kicking  off plans to expand the raised bed planting area into
a TPES Outdoor  Education Classroom and Garden and
WE NEED  YOUR HELP!  Imagine  your kids having class outside  planting,  growing, harvesting and then  composting their very  own food  and while taking in scientific facts related to biology and ecology. The more support we can find from our parent community the more our garden
and children will grow.

We are looking for people to spearhead a variety of garden projects from simply being a classroom garden liaison, to being the Master Salad Bar Composter, to a leader of a new
SDUSD Garden-to-Cafe program bringing the garden harvest to the lunchroom.

Can you shovel dirt, build planter boxes, or water plants?  Join us for any one of our many community building events being planned this summer and next school year.  Want to get
more involved, have idea, or just want to learn more?

Let us know by emailing Cindy Hazuka at OutdoorClassTPES@gmail.com.

THANK YOU Precision Landscape for developing and donating this draft design
concept for the TPES garden!

SDUSD is starting a Garden-to-Cafeteria program where food grown on campus can be served at the lunch salad bar.  Let us know if you want to get involved

Here are some links about other ways schools are using their school gardens.
