Welcome to a new school year Torrey Pines Families!

On behalf of the TPES Foundation board, I would like to welcome you back to school.  For those new to our community, the TPES Foundation is a separate 501(c)(3) organization the purpose of which is to bridge the gap between programs funded by the school district and the programs we would like our children to experience during their time at TPES.  Every family at TPES is a member of the TPES Foundation.  The executive board is voted in each year for a one year term.  I would like to thank the 2012-2013 board of directors for volunteering their time.  I hope they will find their efforts rewarding. 

Foundation Program Funding
This year we are able to once again fund many of the programs that would not exist at TPES without the generosity of our parents and grandparents and the fundraising efforts of many of our volunteers.  These programs include class size reduction, art, music and PE.  We are also able to fund math and literacy curriculum enhancements this year in addition to PE grade level  enhancement. 

Community Support
TPES would not be the success that it is without the support of our community.  For the many who are involved, I thank you and hope you will continue your efforts.   For those new to the community or yet to commit, I invite you to join us.  I can assure you that we can find something for you to fit your time and talent and that you will find the experience rewarding.

I am thrilled to serve as President of the Foundation this year.  This is my third year serving on
the board.  I have served as asst. treasurer and treasurer the past two years.  Please feel free
to contact me via email or cell phone with comments or suggestions.  You can also find me on campus most days during drop off and pick up.  I am looking forward to another great year
at TPES!
