TPES YEARBOOK ORDER TODAY!

Only 7 yearbooks remaining! 

The remaining books will be sold for $35. Yearbooks will be delivered to the classrooms by June 10.

RETRIEVE LOST AND FOUND ITEMS!
Be sure to take a look at the lost and found and retrieve any items that may be your child's.
The lost and found rack is located near the office lunch arbor area. Any clothes remaining after the last day of school will be donated.
 
LAST DAY OF SCHOOL!

Our last day of school is Tuesday June 11. Dismissal time is 12:30 PM except for 5th graders. 5th Grade Promotion is at
11:00 AM with dismissal afterwards. Have a safe and wonderful summer break! See you September 3rd!

TPES Foundation offers the EduKit program as an option for our busy families to order supplies for the upcoming school year requested by your teachers to start the year off right.  Avoid the back-to-school rush and going from store to store. YMCA SUMMER SIZZLE CAMP 2013
June 17 - July 12- Register in Person
The La Jolla YMCA is offering Summer Sizzle Camp from
June 17- July 12 from 11:30am - 6pm to coincide with the TPES Summer Enrichment program. The YMCA will pick up your student after the TPES Enrichment Program and bring them over to the YMCA for an afternoon of fun games and activities.  
TORREY PINES ELEMENTARY 2013-2014
SCHOOL ENROLLMENT

2013-2014 School Year Enrollment for NEW students
is now underway. In order to receive a new student enrollment packet you will need to bring in current residence verification even if you already have children enrolled at Torrey Pines. This verification consists of an SDG&E bill from May or June plus a signed copy of your lease or mortgage statement. The office will be open from June 17th until July 10th and starting August 21st from 9:00am until 11:00am for registration. 
The office will be located in the library during the summer due to construction. Any questions email Chris Marra at cmarra@sandi.net

Letters were mailed for CURRENT students that are continuing at Torrey Pines Elementary next year. Every family needs to return the letter with the applicable information checked off and documents to remain enrolled for next school year.

Please review the volunteer opportunities to determine what program best fits with your time, interests, and talents for the upcoming 2013-2014 school year. TORREY PINES ELEMENTARY HONORED
AS DISTINGUISHED SCHOOL!

Torrey Pines Elementary School was honored as a 'California Distinguished School' by the state Department of Education. This is the second consecutive time TPES has received this prestigious honor. THANK YOU students, staff, and the community for everything you do to make TPES an award winning school!
CONSTRUCTION UPDATE FROM THE SCHOOL OFFICE
Construction at TPES is underway. The school will be receiving two additional classrooms and the office, and rooms 2 and 3 will have some beams replaced. The construction firm is working closely with the school and classroom disruptions will be kept to a minimum. Also, all construction areas will be fenced off, workers will be finger printed and have visible badges and colored vests. The construction is due to be completed by mid-August.
